You know WHAT you need to do differently (set boundaries, hold standards, delegate). But when it comes time to actually DO it, you hesitate. Not because you lack courage. Because you lack a system.
Do you ever feel like...
✓ You're working harder than your entire team combined—rewriting their work at 10 PM, carrying projects they should own, absorbing problems they should solve—while they go home at 5 and you're left wondering why no one seems to care as much as you do?
✓ You've hired good people who just don't perform the way you expected—bringing you problems instead of solutions, missing deadlines you thought were clear, requiring constant oversight—and you can't figure out if the problem is them or if you're just not cut out to lead?
✓ You're avoiding a conversation you know you need to have—with the team member who consistently underdelivers, the employee who pushes back on every request, the person everyone likes but who can't actually do the job—because you're terrified of being seen as too demanding, too harsh, or just plain mean?
The complete clarity-focused Leadership Operating System that lets you lead with both compassion AND standards—and see the results you've been wanting.
This is what we build together in 1:1 coaching
• 3 month commitment
• Bi-weekly 60-minute sessions (via Zoom)
• Between-session implementation with protocols and scripts
• Real-time troubleshooting of actual situations
• Establishing operational standards (that are crystal clear)
• Setting healthy workplace boundaries (so everyone knows where they stand)
• The 9+6 Delegation Framework (stop doing everyone else's jobs)
• The CLEAR+KIND Feedback Formula (have hard conversations without apologizing)
• The Hold-the-Line Protocol (follow through on what you said)
• The Communication Scaffold (lead results, not guilt)

I’m able to allow room for emotions and reactions — without taking them on or reacting myself. I’ve learned to pause, listen, and respond thoughtfully.

I’ve learned the true power of clear communication and authentic leadership. I’ve discovered that being direct isn’t about being harsh—it’s about giving people the clarity they deserve so they can succeed.

I’ve worked with over 500 leaders across 40 years. And I’ve watched the same pattern quietly dismantle them again and again.
A team member underperforms. The leader sees it. She knows the standard isn’t being met. But instead of addressing it directly, she manages feelings—hers and theirs. She rationalizes the gap. Lowers the bar. Picks up the slack.
And then finds herself working alone at 10 PM on a Saturday… resentful, exhausted, and wondering how she got here.
I know this pattern intimately because I lived it.
Here’s what most leadership coaching gets wrong: It tells you the solution is more empathy, more compassion, more “family culture.” As if caring harder will somehow make people perform better.
It won’t. I know, because I followed that playbook for years.

When I stepped into a new leadership role, I had no formal training on what it truly meant to lead. I could manage workflow, organize like nobody's business and create efficiencies, but I didn't yet understand how to guide and support a team. Debbie gave me the insight and confidence I needed to become an effective leader.

I gained a deeper understanding of myself as a leader and how to approach leadership with intention. Debbie encouraged self-reflection and gave me practical tools that I continue to carry with me in my leadership journey.

Have a pressing question you need answered before committing? Below are the most common questions about 1:1 Coaching. If you don't see your question, reach out to us at hello@debbielawrence.ca so we can help!
How does 1:1 coaching work?
We meet bi-weekly for 60 minutes via Zoom.
Between sessions, you implement. You have the hard conversation. You use the delegation process. You hold the line when someone pushes back.
In sessions, we troubleshoot. What worked, what didn't, what to do next.
This isn't therapy. This isn't cheerleading. This is structured implementation of components of a leadership operating system.
How do I know if I should do 3 months or a Single Session Intensive?
What will we actually work on?
Is this only for women?
No, but my methodology was designed specifically for women who've been following the "good girl" leadership playbook.
If you're a man who resonates with the core message (you avoid hard conversations, you absorb everyone's work, you've built a "family culture" that's failing), this will work for you too.
But if you're looking for traditional executive coaching, I'm not your coach.
I'm not a founder or CEO. Will this still work for me?
What if I'm already working with a therapist?
Good. Keep doing that.
Therapy addresses your inner work—your patterns, your trauma, your relationship with yourself.
Coaching addresses your outer work—the specific conversations you need to have, the systems you need to build, the leadership operating system that actually works.
These are complementary, not competing.
Many of my clients work with therapists. Some of the patterns we uncover in coaching become things they process in therapy. That's healthy.
What if my situation is really complicated?
Most situations feel complicated because you don't have a clear framework for diagnosing what's actually broken.
What feels like: "My whole team is a disaster and I don't know where to start"
Usually is: "I have 2-3 specific breakdowns: I'm not delegating effectively, I'm avoiding 2 hard conversations, and I've never exited anyone so underperformers stay forever"
Once we diagnose the pattern, the solution becomes clear.
If your situation is genuinely outside my scope (legal issues, HR violations, executive-level board dynamics), I'll tell you in the Clarity Call.
Do you offer a money-back guarantee?
No.
Here's why: Coaching requires your commitment. If you're looking for a risk-free trial, book a Single Session Intensive first ($300, credited toward coaching if you enroll within 7 days).
Once we start coaching, I'm committed to your success. And I need you to be equally committed.
If you're not sure this is right for you, don't book yet. Book a Clarity Call instead.
